To begin, press and hold the A or left arrow key to turn on the left thruster of the jetpack. This will launch your astronaut forward and pull them off the ground. Gravity will automatically pull you down as you move forward, so keep an eye on your path and use the left/right Thruster to change it if you need to.
It takes power for your jetpack to move forward. But there is only so much power. You can fail if you waste too much fuel on a thrust and run out before you get to the next level. Most of the time, short, controlled bursts work better than steady thrusting.
The most important part of the game is now. You'll fall off if you hit the ground too hard or not straight on. Use both the left and right rockets to carefully control your fall and make sure you land safely and gently on the next platform. The key is to time and balance the fall. If you crash, you'll start over at the last stop right away, giving you another chance to get your landing just right.
